Christmas means?

Why does the concept of Christmas alarm so many?

I personally have always loved christmas, and not only for the gifts. I remember growing up in the Carribean, where as children we saved all year to go to Christmas market. You see; in the Caribbean, we did not have a christmas tree, nor did we really receive gifts. Instead, as children we saved our pennies until christmas, and then we visited christmas market and pretty much brought whatever we wanted. Now as a group, we would all agree to buy at lease one toy that was the same..so we can play with it. I remember fondly buying water guns. Wow..did our weekends get better.

Christmas bring us joy.

I am a bit shocked by all the religious arguments...Some say that DEC 25th does not represent Christ birth..some say, that Jan 6th truly reflects his correct birth. Regardless, I believe that we are all missing the point. Those of us who love the Lord should be rejoicing that though at times that this society may seem cynical, it chooses to stop and reflect on what is indeed important. The key word here, is choice....

Remember that we're all sinners... and it was Christ who gave us forgiveness.

Happy holidays to all those who reflect on Christ significant contribution to us...without him we would all be lost. Happy holidays to families, friends and all those who appreciate CHANGE, GIVING...and all that we've been given in heart..spirit and soul.

Luv ya longtime...

A comment caught my eye...It reads,

Disgusting and sick. All rap should be banned in a decent society. It's sick sub-culture has permeated society like a cancer. This idiot died exactly like he should have and should never be worshipped as a hero by brain

Response: Apollo12jim. I don't think anyone is worshipping TUPAC..I think Tupac actually understood that he sinned. Some of his songs were his attempt to find redemption. In respect to the concept, of Rap permeating through society like a cancer..and that it should be banned in decent society...Please define..decent society? And if you consider the music and the person, indecent then I believe sir that you are perpetuating the music...

You said, "this idiot died exactly like he should". Are you saying you support murder? I believe, that God, the church, or even DECENT SOCIETY would not concur. Jim, I think you are perpetuating hate... and that's not decent.

The Day After

So, naturally I ate way too much. My family can truly and without a doubt cook. Note, I said family, not me... lol

Don't you just hate those people who come over and say stuff like, "I really should watch my weight this time of year; it took me oodles of time to lose those pesky 10 additional pounds and this day dares to threaten it". Frankly, I just feel like punching them in the neck... lol

Happy eating fatties!

Would you give your Soul to save the Souless?

Confessions of Mediocre Education - Part 1

I went to see Twilight because I have two niece and I am high school teacher. This movie was completely inappropriate for teens..
Good Lord!

The movie clearly has moral undertones that make one think ...as to whether you would sell your soul to the devil for a chance of what you deem as happiness. Apparently, it's even shocking to the head vamp.

The idea of not being fulfilled unless you have a boyfriend to lean on is utterly ridiculous. Also, there are quite a few inappropriate reckless scenes where Bella continuously risks her life for a fathom. Then there is concept of teen girls spending months torturing themselves due to unrequited love.

There is a dangerous dependency in this movie disguised as LOVE!

As a teacher, I deal with this on a yearly basis...girls torturing themselves physically and emotionally over unrequited love... and sloppily we now have a movie...promoting it.

I am all for Hollywood making money, but telling tweens and teens that it's ok to loose themselve in someone is not only irresponsible but WRONG.

I understand the significance of Hollywood or author making money..But irresponsibly making money should carry a jail sentence.

I hope both entities have setup a fund for girls in need of psychological help.
